Something about this quartet of books intrigued me enough to buy into it and start reading. The first 3 were factual and looked in depth at the concept of the Law of Attraction.  To be honest, at first I did find this a bit repetitive. I have been doing this “stuff” now for 10 years or more and believed I knew quite a bit about the subject.  However, I stuck with it and found that these books took the concept a lot deeper and further than the material we have already been exposed to, eg The Secret. It clearly explained the difference between something that is a “passion” and a “wild desire” and which of these we need to focus on. I would imagine that for someone new to these concepts, the repetitive content is probably conducive to the learning structure and maybe it was useful for me too (I do try to not let my ego take over completely!).

The Novel itself, The Touch, was really quite fascinating and I enjoyed it very much. It will make a great motion movie and I look forward to seeing it on our screens. I guess the book was written in a foreign tongue, other than English, as the translation wasn’t always 100% accurate, a fact that I found most endearing and it did make me smile in places. The story kept me guessing all the way through and I loved all the little surrounding stories which came together at the end and then made sense. I wonder if the author could have gone a bit deeper into what the 8 minds were going through towards the end of the book as I found that aspect quite fascinating. However, the science aspects there were explained throughout the book were helpful and even I, as a layman, could understand the principles of what was being taught. I look forward to the day when we can all do, quite naturally, the phenomenon written about in the book, something that our top magicians already know how to do using the power of their mind.

Overall I enjoyed it very much and look forward to reading more of Cliff Azaria’s books.   I would encourage anyone with an interest in the science of the mind, or the concepts of the Law of Attraction to read this and enjoy it also. Highly recommended!
